CREATIVE BEAST STUDIO: DASPLETOSAURUS

In the last days it was unlocked one of the latest stretch goals of the Beasts of the Mesozoic – Tyrannosaur Series, Daspletosaurus

Let’s start with the artwork, by Gabriel Ugueto:

And the digital sculpture by Jacob Baardse:

Several people pointed out to David Silva that Daspletosaurus is known to have longer and more robust forelimbs than other Tyrannosauridae, a detail that was been overlooked in the first sculpture.

Skeletal by Scott Hartman, showing the longer forelimbs

Thus the sculptor swapped the forelimbs with those of the 3.5 body (Lythronax and Bistahieversor), which by a fortuitous accident were of the right size for Daspletosaurus.
